Anjou : Grez-Neuville
Just a few hours from Paris, between the Loire castles and Bretagne
Dotted along the banks of the Mayenne River are numerous places to visit such as the Lion d’Angers equestrian centre, the millennial city of Château-Gontier, the Port-Salut abbey at Entrammes and the historical cities of Laval and Kind René’s Anger. Cycling enthusiasts will appreciate the excellent “Euro-Vélo” towpath that runs along the river, specifically geared to cyclists and an award winner in 2017. Another hidden gem is the small and calm Oudon river that flows into the Mayenne close to Grez-Neuville and is therefore a must see.
